🎸 How to Measure Your Guitar for a Perfect Fit

1. Nut Width

  • Measure across the fretboard at the nut (the white/black strip at the top of your neck, right before the first fret).

  • Record the distance from edge to edge of the fretboard.

  • Example: 1.65 in (42 mm)

2. Fret 1 Width

  • Measure the fretboard width at the 1st fret wire (metal strip).

  • Example: 1.70 in (43 mm)

3. Fret 12 Width

  • Measure across the fretboard at the 12th fret.

  • Example: 2.05 in (52 mm)

4. Fret 22 or 24 Width (highest fret on your guitar)

  • Measure the widest point of the fretboard at the highest fret.

  • Example: 2.20 in (56 mm)

5. Scale Length

  • Measure from the nut to the 12th fret, then double it.

  • Example: 12.75 in × 2 = 25.5 in (324 mm × 2 = 648 mm)
